Paul Del Vecchio, a 45 year old carpenter from Niskayuna, NY, settled a personal injury lawsuit with Home Depot recently over an incident in which Del Vecchio said he injured his back when a wood railing fell on him inside a Home Depot store. Home Depot paid Del Vecchio $750,000 to settle the claim.

See this website for other examples of customers and employees who have been seriously injured and even killed while inside big box stores.
