It’s like “road rage” — except it takes place inside a Wal-Mart, and the cars are carts. The latest incident of “Wal-Rage” took place in the little town of Conyers, Georgia, at the peaceful Wal-Mart that sits in their midst. It seems that an altercation broke out inside the store, when Chris Jernigan, and his friend Nick Jones were standing in line last November 21st, when Russell David Jackson and David Lee Hill were apparently overcome by “Wal-Rage”. Jackson and Hill apparently clipped the shopping cart of Jernigan and Jones. This of course caused Jernigan and Jones to take offense, and they reportedly told Jackson and Hill that they would like to conclude the matter out in the parking lot. When these four Wal-Mart shoppers got outside, Jones hit Hill with a tire iron. This prompted Jackson to pull a gun and shoot 20 year old Jernigan in the face. The police of course were called in and arrested Jackson, 28, and charged him with aggravated assault and battery.
Just another quiet day at Wal-Mart, where quality of life is discounted everyday. We recently reported that citizens in Chandler, Arizona produced a police log of Wal-Mart police calls, which totalled 424 calls in one year. Everyday low prices, and everyday police calls. Wal-Rage is perhaps best symbolized by the bumper-sticker, reputedly created by Wal-Mart, that reads: Outta My Way, I’m going to Wal-Mart.
